Research Study Assistant (Midtown)

Our client, a prestigious hospital located on the Upper East Side is seeking experienced Research Assistants for a long term temporary project. In these positions, you will be responsible for assisting investigators in production, characterization and quality control testing of clinical plasmid DNA, genetically modified fibroblasts and genetically modified hematopietic patient cells.

Job Duties Responsibilities:
*Responsible for the production and quality control of clinical plasmid DNA
*Assist investigators in the development and quality control of genetically modified fibroblasts (master cell banks) and genetically modified hematopoietic patient cells
*Analyze gene expression in cell lines and patient cells (DNA, RNA, protein analyses) using various molecular techniques
*Participates in analysis of data and make contributions to evaluation.
*May assist investigator and Quality Assurance Unit in the preparation of reports and manuscripts
*Keeps detailed notebooks, computer files including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) complaint records.
*Assists in the development, writing and update of SOP's
*Operates and maintains complex laboratory equipment

Job Skills Experience Required:
*BS or BA and 5 years of related experience OR MS with 3 years of experience
*Previous experience in a Quality Control environment preferred
