Progressive environmental consulting and testing company is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the President with full administrative duties for our Manhattan - New York City Operations. The position will be based in Manhattan and project locations in the New York City Burroughs. This position reports directly to Ownership and the Company Operations Director. The ideal candidates will possess the following:
A minimum of 5 years of experience of full range administrative experience in a fast-based business environment;
Very strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft package (Word, Excel, Power Point). A background in IT skills also a benefit;
Experience using Quickbooks and/or other commonly-used accounting systems;
Ability to execute tasks on your own following executive-level direction;
Develop effective filing/organization systems and operational control systems;
Support technical personnel with scheduling, organization and management systems;
Strong office-level operations, organizational and administration skills, and
Excellent written communications skills and the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
Ideal candidates will also have experience assisting in the set-up of service-based businesses and business development/marketing support and public relations. A college degree in administration, business, accounting and/or marketing is preferred, but not required for the ideal candidate.
