Kat Von D engaged to Deadmau5 after DJ proposes over Twitter

Deadmau5 and Kat Von D began dating in mid-September.

Well, that’s one way to do it!

Electronic music star Deadmau5 took to Twitter over the weekend to share an intimate moment with his over 1.8 million followers - by proposing to his on-again-off-again girlfriend Kat Von D. 

 

"I can't wait for Christmas so.... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" the deejay, 31, tweeted. 

 

Deadmau5, whose real name is Joel Thomas Zimmerman, also attached a photo of the engagement ring with a written explanation: “Changing the diamond to a black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg . . . they'll finish the actual ring soon I hope. I love u." 

 

In similar fashion, Von D, the 30-year-old former star of “L.A. Ink,” accepted the proposal via Twitter, writing, “Mi corazon! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiance!"

 

 

The musician then replied, "Holy f--king s--t. I'm engaged and stuff! Thanks for the well wishes and support from the horde and everyone else! Brb while i spend the rest of my evening with my future wife."

 

This will be the first marriage for Von D, who began dating Deadmau5 in September before announcing their split on Twitter - natch - two months later.

 

Von D was previously engaged to Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James, however the pair parted ways in July 2011.
