Olivia no longer Wilde about Jason, source says

Olivia no longer Wilde about Jason, source says

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis’ relationship is better suited for a funeral pyre than a wedding aisle.

Despite rumors that the comedic couple are secretly on their way to the altar, a well-placed source tells Confidenti@l that Wilde and Sudeikis are on “a rocky road” after more than a year together.

The insider says around Thanksgiving weekend, when the couple were in New York City together for the holiday, “they got into a fight over text messages [Jason] found on [Olivia’s] phone.”

“It’s been rough,” said the source, who says the marriage rumors didn’t come from thin air: The “Saturday Night Live” stud, previously linked with “Mad Men” actress January Jones, was close to popping the question to Wilde.

“They’re still talking,” says the source, who says “it’s a rocky road.” But contact between them “has not been cut.”

In early October, Olivia, 28, confessed she was just Wilde about Sudeikis at “These Girls,” an evening of monologues by women in New York hosted by Glamour magazine.

The stunning actress confessed she was “blissfully, hopefully, wildly in love” with the 37-year-old actor, comparing the relationship to her failed marriage with ex-hubby Tao Ruspoli, an Italian prince and filmmaker Wilde married when she was 19, and divorced in 2011.

“I felt like my vagina died,” the beauty said of her failed marriage to Ruspoli. With Sudeikis, she boasted that when it comes to life between the sheets, they “have sex like Kenyan marathon runners.”

The pair, who publicly played coy about their relationship in the fall of 2011 before becoming a PDA favorite of the paparazzi, both have busy schedules in 2013 â€" but not separately. They’ll appear in “Relanxious,” now in preproduction, about a potential couple stricken with mental ailments.

A spokeswoman for Sudeikis did not return a request for comment. A spokeswoman for Wilde says: “They are very happy together. They are not engaged.”

BUSCEMI BACK WITH THE BRAVEST

Count former hook-and-ladder man Steve Buscemi among the unsung heroes of Breezy Point.

It was no PR stunt earlier this week when the “Boardwalk Empire” star showed up at a luncheon for volunteer firefighters who’d just completed a 32-day “gut and pump” mission that saved 41 people and 1,700 homes since Hurricane Sandy crushed the Queens neighborhood in October. Buscemi himself was a firefighter from 1980-84.

“The FDNY had the lunch for us, and he came and congratulated us,” said Point Breeze Volunteer Fire Department Captain Sebastian Danese, who ran into Buscemi a half dozen times on rescue operations during the past month.

“He was very cool for someone who’s pretty famous,” said Danese. “His wife [Jo Andres], for the firehouse, would make pumpkin pies and he’d bring them by. It wasn’t a publicity thing at all. He was materially helpful to us.”

While it’s been reported Buscemi is shooting footage for a Sandy documentary, Danese says he could see “The Heroes of Breezy Point” as a feature film. At the “12-12-12” benefit at MSG, director Quentin Tarantino gave a shout-out to the heroes from Queens.

“There’ve been various authors and movie studios that have called us about the story,” says Danese. “No one’s committed to anything, but we’ve had a lot of people who’ve taken an interest in it.”

Did we mention that when he’s not volunteering as a fireman, Danese is a full-time New York City cop?

FOX’S FEAR: ‘MOM, WHAT’S THIS?’

Sure, doing steamy magazine shoots has been good for Megan Fox’s career, but the sexy 26-year-old actress told us at the L.A. premiere of “This Is 40” that she’s not looking forward to explaining them to her 2-month-old, Noah Shannon Green. “I sort of sweat thinking about him coming across those when he’s older,” Fox admits. She says even at this age, “He’s very bossy. I’m already a complete slave to him.”

CC HAS HOME COVERED

With all due respect to Yankee pitching coaches, Amber Sabathia says Bronx Bomber fans have her to thank when hubby CC mows down opposing batters. CC “would say I’m his good luck charm â€" I have to be in my seat before his first pitch,” she told the News’ Nicole Pesce at the Lord & Taylor New York Yankees fragrance launch. The strikeout machine’s better half also says, “I know that when he’s had a bad game, we don’t talk about it.”

LIEV GETS BIG BRAKE

Liev lives! Liev Schreiber told Confidenti@l that while riding his bike through SoHo the other day, he was almost hit by a motorist.

“We had a little event on Broome St. where a guy ran a red light and he went really, really close to my front wheel,” the “Goon” star said at the Museum of the Moving Image Salute to Hugh Jackman at Cipriani Wall Street. “I got a lump in my throat. Unfortunately, I don’t worry as much as I should.”

OLIVIA’S GREAT, SAYS JOHN â€" BUT NOT BABS-FABULOUS

John Travolta was excited to be reunited with “Grease” co-star Olivia Newton-John on their new holiday album, but he’d always “fantasized” about working with Barbara Streisand, who also appears on “This Christmas.” At the SiriusXM studio, Travolta gushed, “This has been a childhood dream of mine.” Newton-John admits the album is “cheesy,” but thinks that’s only fitting. “It’s a beautiful holiday, but it’s all that glitter and corny, snowflakes and all of that,” she says.

HAVE A PERRY MAYER-Y ‘CHRISTMAS’

The cast of “A Christmas Story: The Musical” might have wanted a Red Rider BB gun for the holidays, but what they got was a visit from pop-star power pair John Mayer and Katy Perry. The on-and-off couple stopped by Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre Wednesday to spread holiday cheer and catch a show.

CANDICE A MODEL EARNER

It’s no wonder 24-year-old model Candice Swanepoel gets the big bucks for walking around in very little clothing. While temperatures drop in New York City, Swanepoel’s on St. Barth’s shooting for Victoria’s Secret. The South African-born beauty finished 10th on Forbes’ 2012 list of highest-paid models.

‘12-12-12’ FUN TURNS ‘13’

The “12-12-12” festivities began at MSG and ended at club Lavo Thursday morning, where Michael Stipe and Dave Grohl partied with the likes of Billy Crystal, Chris Rock, Jack McBrayer, James Gandolfini and MSG owner James Dolan, whose band JD & The Straight Shot performed. A source says Dolan asked if there were “any musicians in the house,” who wanted to get on stage and join him. The party started getting crowded around 2 a.m. when Coldplay’s Chris Martin arrived with half a dozen pals, according to our spy.

BON JOVI GIVES CELEBS A GOOD NAME

C’mon in. While most big acts at MSG’s “12-12-12” benefit kept their doors closed backstage, Jon Bon Jovi was quite the host. “He kept his door open and [New Jersey Gov.] Chris Christie and [Revlon CEO] Ron Perlman stopped in to say hi,” according to our backstage sources.

TWIN-BILL BASH FOR THE WINKLEVI

The Los Angeles fashion set was seeing double Wednesday night and it wasn’t just because of their Chandon cocktails. Along with NBC “Fashion Star” host Louise Roe, 31-year-old power twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss hosted a holiday party in their new $ 18 million Hollywood Hills mansion. The bash also celebrated the twins’ latest investment, shopping app Hukkster.com. Attending were actors Jesse Williams, Jesse Metcalfe and Jason Lewis, along with Roe’s new fiancé, Josh Slack.
