Way better than a dorm! Miranda Cosgrove just snagged this $ 2.65 million Los Angeles home to live in while she attends the University of Southern California.

Forget communal showers and hall meetings. Nickelodeon ‘iCarly’ star Miranda Cosgrove recently bought a $ 2.65 million spread after starting her first year at the University of Southern California, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The three-bedroom home was built in 1952, but has been recently renovated to include a decked-out chef’s kitchen with high-end appliances, as well as exterior work including a new paint job and shutters, according to the real estate blog Zillow. The 3,000 square-foot home sits on more than a quarter of acre of land, which is kept private with a hedge and security gate. On the grounds, there’s a swimming pool with a covered pavilion â€" including a flat-screen TV, according to the Times.

Listing photos show the home is a far cry from being outfitted with futons and mini-fridges. The house has a media room with a wet bar, as well as formal living and dining rooms, as well as a more casual family room.

Cosgrove recently wrapped up her run as the star of “iCarly,” a tween hit on Nickelodeon. According to an interview with USA Today, attending USC, where she studies film, is her first time in regular school since the sixth grade â€" she spent middle and high school with private tutors on TV sets.

The exterior of the home, constructed in 1952, is behind privacy hedges.

The new home is her first time living away from her parents, and is about 20 minutes away from campus, according to USA Today.

Cosgrove was named in the 2012 “Guinness Book of World Records” as the "Highest Paid Child Actress," earning $ 180,000 per episode, according to a report from Reuters.
