Position Description
EBI is seeking to hire a a full-time Environmental Scientist to conduct Phase I Environment al Site Assessment reports and wireless National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) reports. We are looking for a person based in one of the following areas: the 5 boroughs, Westchester County, NY or in southwestern CT.

This position will require you to perform field inspections of various property types, primarily sites under consideration for telecommunications installations. You will perform independent research of local, state, and federal resources in compiling the information required for Phase I ESAs, NEPA Screening Reports, EAFs, and SEQRs. The position typically involves approximately 50% field time and 50% home office time.

Strong candidates will possess excellent report writing skills, computer and internet skills, excellent communication, time management and organizational skills. This position will require you to simultaneously manage electronic deliverables on many ongoing projects. As well as to complete assignments on-time and within budget. At time s, travel on short notice (1 week or less) will be required. This position will require travel throughout New York State, as well as travel to other areas of the United States as needed based on workload. All related travel expenses are reimbursed.

Education and Experience Requirements

A professional science degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, geology, engineering, or related field, and over three years professional experience in NEPA consulting and/or due diligence is required. Prior experience with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and NEPA Reports conducted for wireless carriers, tower companies, acquisition firms, or lenders. Some experience/familarity with New York State Environmental Assessment Forms and State Environmental Quality Reviews.

LBP and ACBM Certification a PLUS.
