The candidate will be involved in the planning and implementation of in vivo experiments designed to characterize novel drug targets using neurochemical and behavioral approaches. This individual will conduct in vivo testing that will aid in model validation for both exploratory projects and lead optimization efforts. It is anticipated that the candidate will contribute both intellectually and technically to drug development efforts and will be expected to communicate his/her research effectively to colleagues and peers.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Behavioral Neuroscience, Pharmacology or related discipline with 0-2 years of post-doctoral experience is required. The applicant will have a demonstrated technical expertise in the areas of behavioral pharmacology/neurochemistry and familiarity with behavioral models in psychiatry and neurodegeneration. The successful candidate will be able to design and carry out complex analyses with minimal supervision.
