Celebs do some Global swarming

Celebs do some Global swarming

The best part of the Golden Globes isn’t the awards show â€" it’s what goes down at the after-parties where the stars are good and sauced. And this year the winner and losers alike brought their couch-dancing, Champagne-swigging best.

PHOTOS: CHECK OUT ALL THE GOLDEN GLOBES AFTER PARTIES

After Hollywood’s finest left the Tina Fey- and Amy Poehler-hosted show at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, most braved the Los Angeles cold front and headed to the Weinstein Co.’s bash at the old Trader Vic’s, including Richard Gere, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez and Leonardo DiCaprio and his new man crush, Jonah Hill.

“Richard [Gere] was the first guest to arrive, without his publicist, and he seemed to be very confused and lost. He left shortly after and couldn’t find his car, panicking and calling his agent for help,” an eyewitness tells Confidenti@l.

Heidi Klum fared a bit better. She quickly got into the swing of things as she downed a fatburger and fries â€" still in her skintight white dress â€" then climbed on a couch in the middle of the room to dance in front of everyone. “Julianne Hough was also breaking it down,” says our party insider.

J.Lo ran into exes around every corner last night â€" first sitting near ex-fiancé and big winner Ben Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Garner, during the awards show earlier in the night, then slamming smack into ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs at the Weinstein bash as she worked the room with boy-toy Casper Smart. “She and Diddy caught up,” says our spy.

While Robert Pattinson remained isolated in an outdoor cabana area with “tons of security” at the bash, the “Django Unchained” crew, including DiCaprio, Hill, Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington and director Quentin Tarantino, held down the “power table” and couldn’t be more social.

“They were all sipping Moet & Chandon,” says our guest, adding that DiCaprio and Hill left the bash together to head to the CAA after-party, which DiCaprio was inviting people to.

InStyle’s party in the Oasis Courtyard drew Affleck, Jodie Foster, George Clooney, Jessica Lange, Julianna Margulies, Jessica Alba, Orlando Bloom, Sofia Vergara and Don Cheadle. Newly single Selena Gomez, clearly cured from her case of Bieber fever, danced on a table with Vanessa Hudgens and Bill Murray.

Tom Ford Designs created a fantasy world, using a huge tent constructed over the Beverly Hilton Hotel fountain with an antique gold ceiling and a 20-foot-wide shimmering gold metal chandelier. Godiva created chocolate sculptures spelling “love” on rose petal walls.

CLINTON WARY ON PUBLIC RELATIONS

President Clinton has learned to say no to dessert. A spy at Craig’s restaurant reports that when Clinton, Bryan Glazer, Kate Hudson and Stephen Bing stopped by the eatery in West Hollywood after the Golden Globes, “a blond beautiful girl wearing a body-hugging black dress,” at the table next to theirs, did everything she could to get the former President’s attention, but Number 42 vetoed her attempts. “She bent over and had her aâ€" up in the air to show to Bill,” says our snitch. “She was trying really hard.”

SUDEIKIS CAN BLING IT ON

Funnyman Jason Sudeikis got serious when it came to fiancée Olivia Wilde’s big rock. The actress, in Rome with the cast of “The Third Person,” showed off her sparkler while being given a private tour of the Palazzo Farnese. After Sudeikis popped the question, Wilde tweeted, “Thanks for all the sweet congratulatory love, friends! And may I compliment your savvy use of that nifty engagement ring emoticon.”

LEIBOVITZ IN SUNDANCE SCENE

Iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz’s photos for Stella Artois’ “Timeless Beauty” campaign will debut at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday. It was announced Monday that British actor Noah Huntley and Ukrainian model Tanya Ruban will be the subjects of the Belgian beer company’s new ads. Stella Artois is a sponsor of Sundance, which runs Jan. 17-27 in Park City, Utah.

HATHAWAY’S GOT SOLE

Anne Hathaway likes her shoes like she likes her food â€" vegan! In the most perfect high-low fashion moment, the Golden Globe Best Supporting Actress winner paired strappy Aldo heels with her beaded Chanel couture gown. Really. The custom creation, leather-free satin stilettos crafted especially for Hathaway’s big night, are part of a collection sent to the actress for awards season.

MELO SHOWS FANCY FOOTWORK

After Knicks star Carmelo Anthony made a Sunday-night appearance at Cipriani on Wall St. to promote his new Air Jordan Melo M9 sneakers, where he swore to Confidenti@l that his wife La La and him “make it work,” he went on a tear with his boys to SL lounge. He dropped major cash and partied till the wee hours at the weekly Sunday party. Melo (who just finished a 15-day fast that he completes annually) and his entourage, including Swizz Beatz, were surrounded by plenty of bottles and plenty of girls. “They got crazy. It was a boys’ night out,” an eyewitness tells Confidenti@l. Melo was with fellow Knicks Tyson Chandler and bad boy J.R. Smith (Rihanna’s ex.) The group bought six bottles of vintage Dom Perignon, a bottle of Don Julio 1942 and rapped along to music by DJ Scram Jones. “J.R. even got on the mic and thanked the club for ‘their insane energy,’ ” says our spy. The bromance fest lasted until well past 3 a.m., when Melo was hit with a $ 7,000 bill.

THE JACKMAN DIET: DON’T TRY IT

Hugh Jackman says the main ingredient in the “Les Miserables” fitness plan is, well, misery. “I urge people â€" do not do the diets that Anne [Hathaway] and I went through,” he told us at the 10th annual G’Day USA black-tie gala in L.A. “It’s a bodybuilder’s trick to lose all the water weight and you get very gaunt quickly. ... You get massive headaches, very grumpy; it starts to hurt when you drink.” While Hathaway starved away 25 pounds, Jackman reportedly mixed rigorous workouts with a protein-heavy diet to achieve his sinewy frame.

SWEET & LOWE FOR DUNHAM

Lena Dunham’s seemingly off-the-cuff thank you to Chad Lowe at Sunday’s Golden Globes was actually overdue. The “Girls” creator had been tweeting with Hilary Swank’s ex since August, when he told her he was a “big fan.” “What a day-maker you are! FYI I will probably mention you if I ever receive any award at all in my lifetime [and I too am a fan].” Dunham kept her promise, with Lowe later tweeting: “Dearest @lenadunham You complete me.” Dunham relied, “Mutual. It was time.” Swank famously forget to thank Lowe during her 2000 Oscar speech, when she accepted the award for Best Actress for “Boys Don’t Cry.”

THE INCREDIBLY MAD HULK

Hulk smash! On last week's Spike TV show “Impact Wrestling,” bad-boy wrestler Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan apparently angered Brooke’s father, Hulk Hogan, when the couple announced they’d marry on this Thursday’s show. It remains to be seen if the wedding is a gimmick, but Confidenti@l has learned Bully Ray’s hosting a real bachelor party Wednesday night at Rick’s Cabaret New York. Our jiggle-joint sources confirm 75 dancers will entertain party guests as they dine on, among other things, “steaks, red meat and more steaks.”

ON YOUR MARC, GET SET, BUY!

Here we go again. Just like every handbag Sarah Jessica Parker sported in “Sex and the City” became a must-have for women everywhere, AnnaSophia Robb, who plays young Carrie Bradshaw in the “SATC” prequel series “The Carrie Diaries,” seems well on her way to becoming the next generation’s purse guru. On Monday, the 19-year-old rising star was spied carrying a stylish Marc by Marc Jacobs satchel bag as she left SiriusXM Radio's headquarters in Midtown.

SEEN AND HEARD ...

The Bar at Time Hotel owner Ric Addison broke out “the fancy glasses” when Liv Tyler, Andy Samberg and designer Brian Spurr stopped by an after-party celebrating the Dirty Projectors’ Carnegie Hall performance. … Robin Wright decided not to attend the Golden Globes days before the event, prompting an insider to tell us, “She’s notorious for cancelling these things.” ... Legendary deejay Stretch Armstrong will spin at First Ave.’s Sutra Lounge tonight.

THEY’RE L.A.’S MOST WANTED

The Wanted went on a magical mystery tour last week in L.A. Shortly after winning their People’s Choice Award for Favorite Breakout Artist, the boys, all clad in Armani Exchange, cruised the Sunset Strip in a bus with tinted windows, gathering fans as they went along, according to our sources. The gang first rolled into Pink Taco for a bite, where they ran into Olivia Munn, then headed over to Rock & Reilly’s whiskey pub, which they closed down early the next morning.
