Britney Spears and Jason Trawick broke up over kids: report

Jason Trawick and his wife, singer Britney Spears, pose backstage during the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival.  The couple have called it quits, reportedly over kids.

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick called off their engagement because she wants more kids and he had no plans to be a father, TMZ reported.

Spears, 31, is the mother of two boys and “desperately wants more kids,” according toTMZ.

Jason, 41, is "in another place,” sources told the website.

The couple frequently fought over the issue and it finally proved their undoing.

"Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement," Spears said in a statement released by her publicist. "I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends."

Trawick also had kind words for his ex.

"As this chapter ends for us a new one begins," said Trawick in his own statement.   "I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever."
