Comedian Katt Williams has had a rough two month stretch with the law, having been arrested FIVE times in that span.
Comedian Katt Williams was arrested for the fifth time in two months Tuesday when Los Angeles cops served a warrant related to his bizarre police chase in Sacramento last November.
The pint-sized punch-line machine was taken into custody at 3:45 p.m., jail records show, and was released several hours later.
Officers picked him up outside his Woodland Hills residence “with no major incidents,†a police source confirmed to the Daily News.
The notoriously volatile performer, whose real name is Micah Sierra Williams, attracted the new legal heat when he missed his felony arraignment for the wild Sacramento chase, TMZ first reported.
“Sacramento put out a warrant after they knew I had to be in court. I couldn’t be in two court places at the same time. I had court in L.A. and court in Sacramento on the same day,†he told TMZ.com after his release.
He said his conflicting Los Angeles court date related to custody of his kids.
“It was my kids, so I can’t miss that one,†he said, sporting a black beanie on his head and a gray blazer.
According to cops, Williams was driving a three-wheel motorcycle on a sidewalk in downtown Sacramento Nov. 25 when he fled police and blew through several red lights.
Police reportedly called off the chase out of a concern for public safety but later arrested him Dec. 7.
Williams was also arrested and released in Oakland in mid-November after a man claimed Williams hit him over the head with a bottle.
The “Norbit†and “First Sunday†star was later arrested for allegedly inciting a fight in a bar in Seattle Dec. 3 and on suspicion of child endangerment in Los Angeles Dec. 28.
